Contractor Nightmare

This is my kitchen sink. Spot the fatal mistake my contractor did 7 years ago but left undetected until the arrival of a plumber that came in to rescue my clogged sink.

Still clueless? Well the right sink is fixed too low. With this position, water from the right sink is flowing against gravity to meet the left sink before it gets into the master U-tube. The right way to fix this fancy Ikea sink is to lift the right sink higher than the left.

I vaguely remembered my contractor spent a good two hours sweating over and asked where I bought my sink. Lesson learnt: do not stinge on contractor , and always supervise them like a hawk

Panic Chef

It swayed and swerved overtaking 4 cars in a row on a Saturday mid-morning. What is the hurry Mr. Vegetable ? It still had to wait for the lights to turn green anyway. Might as well, for this give me the chance to scrutinize the goodies on the truck. Then I spotted eggs. My swift detective mind led me to conclude that this could be a panic chef running late for a khenduri.

The 7th Lunar Month

Posted by Picasa
I wonder why they put up huge colourful flags marking the celebration of the 7th Lunar Month, aka. Hungry Ghost Festival, but it sure looks like gonna be a colourful fest for our friends from the other world

Hey are you stealing my picture?

She is a beauty. I have no idea what breed is she but she was such a patient missy waiting for the dog walking maid who was busily chatting away with another fellow maid outside the bungalow.

My 1st solo Performance

At the newly opened Justlife organic cafe, Ikano Power Center, I have my 1st solo performance. Everyone at the cafe fell in the love with the painting "Breakdown" hung outside the door. The painting's essence of helping each other out sincerely blended in the Justlife concept of live life to the fullest.

Broken Wire Transmission Station

Mom always complained that her mails to sister Harimau bounced too often. Many times I become the mid-way retransmission station to forward the mail. This is a picture taken off the roof off TV, old Tenaga cabling and may be even telephone. No wonder I always get crossed line with the telecom telephone

Canvas of the Universe

I have been very unsuccessful in the past two months to maintain the higher aim of work life balance. Running the risk of my blog being taken over by cobwebs, I stole this picture from my buddy Excalibur just so that I can whip up a makeshift post.

A quick summary of what has kept me away from the blog: My business partners and I - the three dynamite and wacko ladies, have managed to close 3 major clients which would certainly keep us busy till next year. If we persist we just might reach our goal to start venturing into the region. We know there will be challenges, especially now with Catherine relocating to Penang. We however are confident and optimistic that we could manage. Anyway, it has been a miracle how three of us ladies have been able to achieve this far.

Just last Friday a friend who owns a restaurant has asked me to exhibit seven of my work in her restaurant. The hanging work will commence only next week. It is high time for my paintings to see the sun. My friend Pauli-two-Shoes has been pushing me to show my work to a local gallery who has shown interest. I guess the time is right now.

I have recently been dabbling with a designing a children English learning program for the Serendah Home. There are small progress and the children love it. Now with inspiration from my dear sister who is so creative with her approach, I am thinking of revamping my program. A rough sketch has been drafted ...and who knows , it may one day be a children book too.

With me still able to manage some time for yoga and an occasional swim, it has been good so far. For now, just small baby steps ....just like my mom once said "Slowly slowly catch the monkey". My version is "slowly slowly catch the gorilla"
